As silly as this song is, it’s super catchy and makes great treadmill music.

I know, I know. I’ve been conspicuously absent from this blog for the past week or so. I took a vacation to Cincinnati (my absolute favorite city in America) where, despite my best intentions, I didn’t even see the inside of the hotel fitness center. Furthermore, my diet consisted largely of restaurant food and Graeter’s ice cream. When I landed on Monday evening, I was greeted by an enormous amount of work which hasn’t let up since. I haven’t been back to the gym, and my diet is still a wreck.
These are all (really poor) excuses. I don’t expect them to last very much longer because starting on Sunday I’ll be back at the gym. Tomorrow, I’m looking forward to gutting my fridge and cabinets. I’m donating all non-perishable food to the local food bank, and tossing the rest in the garbage. Sometimes you just need a clean slate.
Wednesday is my 32nd birthday, and the following Saturday is tea at a local tea house. On Wednesday, we’re supposed to sit around and eat Chinese food. Part of me wants to fight for better (or no) food to celebrate with, and part of me just doesn’t know what to do. It seems unavoidable. I wish that I knew how to think and eat like a thin person.
Western Oregon’s Sara Tucholsky hit her first career HR, but tore her ACL while running back to first base. The opposing team saw her pain and did the unexpected; they picked her up and helped her touch each base.
Central Washington lost the game, 4-2.
