Currently wishing for:

A Sigg Swiss Cross Red Touch water bottle. Not only is it gorgeous and durable, after hearing about toxic plastic on All Things Considered last week, I never want it to touch any part of my body again.

Gym-worthy pants. I like these from Lands’ End a lot, but like a lot of quality fat girl clothes, they’re pretty expensive. And really… come on, it’s the gym - who’s going to notice my pants? As long as they’re comfortable, I’m not picky - I’ll take these from Just My Size, too.

And if I’m really dreaming, a longer length tissue weight tee shirt in my size. They do not make fat girl tee shirts long enough. It’s ridiculous. No one wants to go around with her belly peeking out from underneath her tee shirt. I’m at the point now where I don’t even look for longer tee shirts anymore, because they don’t exist. I improvise instead. Hopefully I won’t be whining like this a year from now, because I’ll be able to wear normal length tee shirts by then. This is where I say “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”.

A new pair of sneakers, preferably another pair of Nike Free 5.0, since my current pair are starting to show their age. They’ve held up superbly well and are the only pair of shoes that don’t give me heel blisters. They’re awesome!

The ability to give up sugar and white/refined foods. No matter how much I read on the subject, nor how great it all sounds, I have no idea how to make myself do this, and I really want to. I’m weak in the face of sweets and bread and pasta!

More/better quality sleep. I’m sitting up at almost 3:00 in the morning writing this because until about two minutes ago, I wasn’t really tired. It could be the caffiene that I had earlier, and it could be the sugar that I won’t admit to eating, but I usually stop working at around midnight, and I don’t go to bed until 3:00am. I also know that when I do finally get in bed, I’ll spend awhile tossing and turning and generally disturbing the dog, who has no problem falling asleep immediately. So, I need tips. How can I get to bed earlier? How can I fall asleep faster?
